The Model 1916 Spanish small ring Mauser carbine is fully stocked to the end of the 26-inch barrel. The rifle includes a faint Spanish Royal crown, “Fabrica de Armas Oviedo” and “1924” on the receiver. There is a cutout for stripper clips in the receiver and a gas relief hole on the left side. While many Spanish Mausers were converted to 7.92×57 or 7.62 NATO this one appears to retain its 7x57mm caliber. Further, while many downright grungy Spanish Mausers are in circulation, this example is in very good condition.
